Beautiful Weather Returns to Melbourne Beach

Posted on: October 12, 2011

It was great to see the sunshine return yesterday, after a weekend of surprisingly rough weather. For those of you who weren’t here to experience it, we has some wild weather blow through Brevard County over the weekend. Rain totals easily reached 10 inches in some areas, and wind gusts were recorded as high as 80 mph… and this crazy storm didn’t even have a name! Luckily, there didn’t seem to be very much damage; just a lot of fallen palm fronds and plenty of puddles were all that remained once the sun reappeared. The beaches were also spared during this weekend’s storm; although tides were high, Brevard County experienced minimal beach erosion, and the dune line is still very much intact. Many of us lost power for a short time, but it was restored quickly. And the best part, the surf was amazing on Monday (as reported by my husband), and the dolphins in the river were extra playful (as I watched them from my stand up paddle board). All in all, Brevard County faired very well through this weekend’s storms.

Check out these pictures I took tonight during my walk, no trace of that crazy weather is left in sight!

Whether you are buying or selling, it would be my pleasure to represent you!
